Duration: 45mins Price: £29 per person

Our 45mins tour is also our most popular. It just long enough to enjoy some breathtaking mountain scenery, and gives you a taste of the great outdoors. But be warned, it may leave you wanting more!

Suggested route:

Leave waterhead at Ambleside jetty (just look out for the steamers coming & going). Now head towards the stunning Langdale valley (my favourite part of the lakes), passing Skelwithbridge and Elterwater. On entering the valley the views of the Langdale Pikes is truly amazing. Next we pass through the pretty slate village of Chapel Stile (look out for the slate church perched on the hillside) and then enjoy the twisting ride through the valley floor. The jewel in the ride lies at the end of the valley and without spoiling too much I’ll just say the panoramic sweeping views will leave you breathless. On the return we ride through Ambleside (be prepared for a few looks from bystanders), and return to the jetty.

Our 1hrs 30mins tour is a bigger adventure and takes you further afield. Get ready for an exhilarating ride into the mountains, through charming Lakeland villages, plus beautiful lakeside roads

Suggested route:

From the jetty at Ambleside (Waterhead jetty where the boats come & go), we pass thought Ambleside itself (take a snap of the famous Bridge House as we pass), then hold on as we tackle ‘The Struggle’ and on to the famous Kirkstone Pass. This is a beautiful ride along twisting roads, taking in valleys, meadows and open countryside. On the other side of the pass we meet ‘Brotherswater’ and continue along until we reach Glenridding, where we pick up the lakeside road along the shores of Ullswater. There are various points along the route where we can pull over, as you’ll want to take a photo of the vast lake and surrounding mountains. Our turn-around point is Pooley Bridge (at the other end of Ulllswater. Here we stop for a comfort break before heading back along the lakeside road. We stop one last time for panoramic photos overlooking Lake Windermere and it’s distant mountains. Get ready to turn heads as we make our way back to Waterhead, via Ambleside.

The Lake District is yours to explore. Relax and soak up the scenery on our two & a half hour tour. It’s more than just pretty views as we take you off the tourist trail and discover some real hidden gems!

Arguably our prettiest tour begins at Ambleside, and heads straight for the quiet side of Lake Windermere. First stop is Castle Wray. Built in 1840, the castle is a National Trust property set in stunning grounds against an equally stunning mountain backdrop. Next we head to Skelwith bridge and pause to admire the riverbank and the bridge itself. Continue your drive through valleys, rolling meadows and open countryside, before arriving at the jaw dropping beauty of the Langdales. We take you right through the valley for the perfect photo of this stunning landscape. Heading back we continue through Ambleside and on to the picturesque village of Grasmere (home to poet, William Wordsworth). A shoreline drive along the edge of Rydal Water completes one of our most popular tours

Suggested route:

Travel through the heart of the Lake District on our epic three hour tour. Departing at Ambleside our first lake is Rydal water. Next we turn heads riding through the charming village of Grasmere, passing Dove Cottage (home to poet, William Wordsworth). Then we ride along one of Britain’s most scenic roads (in the shadow of Helvellyn) where we arrive at the market town of Keswick. Leaving Keswick we leave the tourist trail and head through the stunning Borrowdale Valley. Leaving  Borrowdale we next e arrive at the Honister Pass. At the top of the pass we pull over and look back across the panorama where you will marvel at the views. Over the pass is just as scenic and feels like another world as we pass through a steep slate valley. Leaving the valley we arrive a Buttermere (one the the Lakes Districts less know lakes), and head along the shores of Crummock Water. Our next part of journey is over a hidden track with lovely views looking down across Derwent Water. Arriving at back at Keswick, we then head back for home. This tour will satisfy your thirst for adventure and will leave you with  any enjoyable memories of the Lake District!

Leaving Old Nell’s by the canal at Billsborough, travel through some of England’s most beautiful countryside. The route up through the Forest of Bowland is sure to invigorate and once at the summit the views are nothing short of spectacular. The panorama overlooking fields, meadows and traditional English villages is definitely worth a picture. On a clear day you can even see Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, and out to sea over Fleetwood and the surrounding Morecambe Bay!

Suggested Route:

The route from Lancaster to Arnside is one of our favourite rides. The scenery is some of the best you’ll find anywhere! On route you will pass the cliff face at Silverdale (where families of owls and peregrine falcons nest in safety). The journey continues through forests, marshland and several sleepy villages. Enjoy the ever changing views across the estuary before arriving at the picturesque village of Arnside. Get the camera out for a snap of the Barrow to Lancaster railway and its impressive viaduct. A ride passed the old pier and along the short but pretty promenade is the highlight to one of our favourite tours.
